She sounds like one of those people that is just getting married to have the "perfect wedding".

I LOLed all over the place when I saw all of those tags. The one remaining, "delusions of grandeur" is A+ too.

Her priorities seem really screwed. It'll be funny when her parents fork out tons of $ for her fancy party and the marriage ends up lasting as long as the time it took to plan it.

I'm hoping you're right and that this is a troll. Orange and green for colors?
Dec. 13th, 2006 04:12 am (UTC)
She just posted about getting a positive pregnancy test in childfree (and being unhappy about it since she hates kids but...she might want to keep this one?).

Definitely a troll.

please be a troll, please be a troll.

The whole "it's the least a guest can do" thing gives me a troll-alert red flag. heh.

Those are pretty ignorant statements that she included in that post of hers.

What whiny brat.

If she's for real, she's going to shed many tears on her wedding day. Because something will more than likely go wrong.

Deleted, but here's the text:

Name and/or LJ userID: darereality
Wedding Date: February 14th, 2007
Bride/Groom/Other (please specify): bride
Age: 25
City/State/Country you live in: NC
City/State/Country you're getting married in (if different): NC
Your song/First Dance song: "Crash into Me" Dave Matthews
Wedding Colors: Orange, light green
Formality: FORMAL
Theme (if you have one): Black-tie
Number of guests: 300
How'd you meet your fiance?: I saw him at a party and told him he was taking me out on a date. :) And yes, I was sober
How long have you been together?: 8 months
Do you have a personal wedding website?: Nope.
Anything else you'd like to tell us?: I'm glad I found this community!

Just a question. Is anyone else tired of being labelled a bridezilla? Sometimes, I just want to tell people to back the hell off because I'm the one planning the wedding and I'm the one who's getting married. For example, my parents told me to wait because James (my fiance) and I haven't known each other for a long time, but love doesn't wait for the cautious. But I told her it was my day and she just had to get over her empty nest syndrom. Also, everyone is giving me grief about the black-tie formality. We passed out information where people can rent a tux. What's the big deal? It's like $50 at the most. It's not that big of a problem. It's the least a guest can do for a bride and her groom. If you're going to show up to a wedding, you should do it right. It's not like the groom and I are having a Vegas wedding here folks, so the normal slacks with a shirt deal isn't going to work. This wedding is going to be great and perfect. I wish people would just get off my back

Thank you...I missed the original post and was sad until I got to your comment.
Dec. 13th, 2006 02:13 pm (UTC)
LOL! Wow, I hope she's not expecting gifts, too.
Dec. 13th, 2006 05:32 pm (UTC)
I was expecting her to be much younger.

So she's expecting people to go all out on a Wednesday night? Awesome.
Feb. 10th, 2007 05:46 pm (UTC)
If she indicated that the wedding is formal, then the guests should show up dressed accordingly. If people don't want to dress up, or can't afford to, then they can decline the invitation.
Feb. 10th, 2007 09:26 pm (UTC)
agreed. but if i had to pay to rent clothes, i would probably skimp on the gift.
Dec. 13th, 2006 01:59 pm (UTC)
It's not like the groom and I are having a Vegas wedding here folks,

Um, nothing wrong with a vegas wedding.

And, yeah, "Crash into me" is a rather dirty song. That's great to dance to with grandma watching. Now THAT shows class.
Dec. 13th, 2006 03:11 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that Vegas comment kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I told her that my wedding (in Las Vegas) was going to be a hell of a lot more than a shirt and slacks deal.
Dec. 13th, 2006 03:37 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I've seen some pretty formal Vegas weddings!
Dec. 13th, 2006 04:41 pm (UTC)
I commented on that post about Vegas weddings probably being more elegant than hers, and that the comment she made about 'Vegas weddings' was very ignorant. Damn. Too bad she baleeted.
Dec. 13th, 2006 04:42 pm (UTC)
Once I saw the entry was gone, I was sad. I would have said something to her. Though, if she is a troll like she is appearing to be more and more, it's not as fun. I like the ridiculous peeps that don't realize how ridiculous they're actually being.
Dec. 13th, 2006 04:44 pm (UTC)

Agreed. Feeding trolls are not nearly as fun as calling out a purely stupid person, LOL.

Feb. 10th, 2007 05:47 pm (UTC)
Why is she ridiculous for expecting people to respect her choice of dress code?
Feb. 10th, 2007 07:03 pm (UTC)
That comment wasn't in reference to her wanting a black-tie, formal affair. It was in reference to her comment about "vegas" weddings being sub-par. Her thinking that, to me, is ridiculous. I've seen plenty of formal, elegant, and classy weddings happen in vegas.
Feb. 10th, 2007 07:15 pm (UTC)
I realize that Vegas weddings aren't always crass these days. The first connotation for those types of weddings, however, is still usually one of haste and casualness.
Feb. 10th, 2007 07:03 pm (UTC)
er, that was me.
Feb. 10th, 2007 07:16 pm (UTC)
Hahaha. I take it that you don't stay auto-logged in to LJ either. :)
Feb. 10th, 2007 08:44 pm (UTC)
haha, nope. In fact, this is the most I've been on LJ during the weekend in forever.
